Senior Legal Counsel position based in Mumbai
We are working exclusively  with a leading international private equity fund to hire their first lawyer to support their India business. This is a deal execution legal role. The most important experience is  having worked on international sponsor-side India M&A transactions (including growth equity and buyouts), exposure to global markets, as well as a broad field of vision, an aptitude or high-level risk-management and problem-solving.
•	Must have a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in India  and/or overseas training (desirable)  at a top law firm M&A practice and/or private equity experience strongly preferred. In-house experience at another international fund would be ideal.
•	Top legal education in India and overseas (desirable).
•	Must be a good team player, strong technical skills, gravitas to command the respect of business and legal colleagues, as well as outside counsel. 
•	Has strong problem-solving, multi-tasking skills as well as able to prioritise work hard in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.
